Surprisingly, a very entertaining read I had read one other book by this author A Case of Heart Trouble and did not care for it But after I saw all the four stars for this one, I thought I would give it a whirl I m glad that I did.A young woman is working at a hotel that was actually once her home A 30 year old hotelier has purchased it and she is acting as office manager, reservationist and all around Girl Friday The hotelier her boss irks her to no end and she seriously contemplates leaving for London to start afresh However, she falls in love with one of the hotel guests as he escorts her around town and lavishes attention on her so she decides to give things time to work out A near fatal accident forces her to take off her rose colored glasses and recognize the values in life and the meaning of true love A fun, light read with an incredibly smart, caring heroine and a rather surprisingly, wonderful hero Secondary characters were well written and moved the story along There s an interesting OW that adds dimension, but isn t OTT as other HP reads. If you want vintage and something light, I highly recommend.

I suppose I do, in a way, she admitted honestly I shall never lose my love for Windrush For me, I think roads from all four corners of the earth would eventually lead back there This little line explains the title very well You know a book could be utter kaka but it sure helps when you have a great title This book was not kaka, fyi I enjoyed this quick little read If you like clean vintage, then dees eez for you I did not like the Hero at the beginning but wow he sure grew on me There was no insta love on her part either but he earned it by the end By golly did he earn it, if a guy s visits you every day in the hospital after an accident, and then marries you and takes care of you, you can be an ax murderer for all I care I am blind to your faults, Monsieur bow Story went a little something like this New owner of converted hotel which used to be her home Jerkface becomes her new boss who is tough on her.Heroine meets widow OW who is really nice.OM guest sweeps her off her feet.OM leaves back to London.Hero takes her to London for business.Heroine realizes OM is engaged and breaks it off.OM gets violent behind wheel and crashes car.Heroine is in hospital for a good spell Hero visits her everyday OM gives it one shot to no avail Hero proposes marriage and she accepts Heroine stays with OW, who is an absolute doll. They get married and go to his godmothers villa in Italy of course Godmother makes tactless comments about OW and Hero Coockoo head heroine decides she should leave because Hero loves OW.He gets note too soon and is visibly upset. They have a heart to heart and all is well Vive la Italy Or is it Windrush Whatever.
