This is basically John Wick with body modifications I m not a fan of said body mods as it allows the bad guys to do anything Honor Guest is just trying to walk away from Leviathan from Grant Morrison s Batman run to be with her family and Talia al Ghul keeps trying to pull her back in I like Silencer but the villains outside Talia have been really stupid and look like they designed by children Designing characters was never John Romita Jr s strong suit Patch Zircher and Jack Herbert ac This is basically John Wick with body modifications I m not a fan of said body mods as it allows the bad guys to do anything Honor Guest is just trying to walk away from Leviathan from Grant Morrison s Batman run to be with her family and Talia al Ghul keeps trying to pull her back in I like Silencer but the villains outside Talia have been really stupid and look like they designed by children Designing characters was never John Romita Jr s strong suit Patch Zircher and Jack Herbert actually make the book look better than volume 1 when Romita drew it

John Wick with a DC angle is awesome World The art is great, they have selected some wonderful artists for this series I miss Romita Jr but wow the artists for this book make this series work The tone, the colours, the sense of motion it s all really good The world building here is also pretty great If you love Batman Inc and you love what Morrison did there with Talia you will love the world here Abnett has taken Leviathan and made it into a springboard for this story and it fits perfec John Wick with a DC angle is awesome World The art is great, they have selected some wonderful artists for this series I miss Romita Jr but wow the artists for this book make this series work The tone, the colours, the sense of motion it s all really good The world building here is also pretty great If you love Batman Inc and you love what Morrison did there with Talia you will love the world here Abnett has taken Leviathan and made it into a springboard for this story and it fits perfectly This is a John Wick clone and slotting Talia at the head and with her organisation it s pretty amazing how well it works, it s just amazing Story This is John Wick, that s what you are getting and if you love that you ll love this Honor s continuing journey to get out of her past life is done well and this mission for the second arc is simple, basic and wonderful to read There is an insane amount of action and an insane amount of DCU pieces colliding together and it s pretty fantastic The story is basic, the end is expected and there are some over the top things that make readers need so check their brain at the door but this is just what it is It is a bullet fuelled roller coaster ride and it did this to a T I like the end, it makes sense being a second arc that this is where the story would end, it makes sense to do what they did with Talia and Honor and Leviathan Good job Characters Honor is not only a John Wick clone but any Assassin that wants to walk away clone and that s fine, she s simple, her story is simple, her arc is simple and that s what it is Her journey this time around is solid and fits the cinematic bill that is this book Then there is also the Leviathan angle which is great, I love Batman and Robin and I love what Abnett is doing with using these characters cause honestly Leviathan is the best choice, if they had chosen like say Black Mask, or some Gotham low level villain or some dumb cult like Cobra or Brother Blood it would not be the same, this is a really cool use of DCU characters.I really like this series, it s simple and hits the action spot Onward to the next book read individual issues

Still an incredibly fun action romp, but it feels a bit too much like they re throwing ideas at the wall without any real idea of progress Funnily, they do actually get some progress, but it doesn t really feel that earned.

Picking up right where Volume 1 left off, Honor has decided that she needs to take down Leviathan and Talia al Ghul for good The only way to do that is to get to the Lazarus Pit before she does How can she do that with her family around Travel with them to a nearby theme park based on a ripoff Superman, but its done with hilarity and no mockery whatsoever , and take breaks away from them to accomplish her mission. She isn t the only one with a mission though The various crime bosses are scra Picking up right where Volume 1 left off, Honor has decided that she needs to take down Leviathan and Talia al Ghul for good The only way to do that is to get to the Lazarus Pit before she does How can she do that with her family around Travel with them to a nearby theme park based on a ripoff Superman, but its done with hilarity and no mockery whatsoever , and take breaks away from them to accomplish her mission. She isn t the only one with a mission though The various crime bosses are scrambling for leadership in Talia s vacuum Wishbone, a crime boss in charge of the magic division of Leviathan, tries to mess everything up when she has Silencer and Quietus switch bodies The chaos in their switch causes a disaster at the amusement park, leading Honor s husband and child to believe her dead, yet Honor still fights on.After Talia is resurrected, she reveals her plot to the crime bosses, showing that without her, Leviathan wouldn t survive A final choice is given to Honor join Leviathan and her family can live free without her OR watch her family be murdered they wouldn t see it coming before her eyes Her choice is obvious, but in a shocking ending, Talia kills Honor anyways Whether she or her family survived, we won t know. One of the short lived New Age of Heroes titles, this one had promise Would love to see Honor Guest show back up in something else Who knowsRecommend
