    Sure, we all USE some form of Social Media we re here, aren t we But as the only non Social Media Expert left in the marketing world, I didn t really know where to start in using it as a part of a marketing strategy Both my company and the industry it s in have been slow to embrace social media, so I felt a little behind the curve This book was a great primer to the wide, wide world of SM The New Community Rules basically puts its arm around you and gives you the lay of the land It s br Sure, we all USE some form of Social Media we re here, aren t we But as the only non Social Media Expert left in the marketing world, I didn t really know where to start in using it as a part of a marketing strategy Both my company and the industry it s in have been slow to embrace social media, so I felt a little behind the curve This book was a great primer to the wide, wide world of SM The New Community Rules basically puts its arm around you and gives you the lay of the land It s broken down by topic, to let you pick and choose the topics you want to delve into, but was also a good read straight through Nothing is gone into in great detail, but a huge number of topics is hit concisely and with enough depth to get you acclimated.It s only the first step in an education process, but I would highly recommend it for anyone getting their feet wet in SMM

    A book on social media is a pretty bad idea and 5 years do make a huge difference I ve bought this a few years ago for our work library, so staff at my digital marketing agency could read it Social media has definitely moved on quite a bit, even though Weinberg s points around relationship building are and best practice are still valid I wouldn t recommend this even for beginners in 2014 I m afraid, as most of the information has drastically changed since then.

    tamar really does a fantastic job describing the new community that we call social media social networking, and she does this with ease and simplicity I enjoyed the examples throughout the book and basically could not put the smm book down I recommend this to all readers interested in social media marketing smm from the beginner enthusiast to the seasoned professional Bravo, Tamar

    Very useful but again the most up to date info in this area would be in the form of blogs, discussion forums, or articles on the Web itself, as books are outdated very quickly.
